Bardolino: information and advice

The comune of Bardolino is located on the south-eastern shore of Lake Garda, in Verona province in the region of Veneto. Famous for the red wine of the same name, which is known to connoisseurs worldwide, Bardolino is above all one of the Veneto Garda's major tourist destinations, thanks to the variety and attractiveness of its landscape, as well as its closeness to the beautiful city of Verona, the provincial capital. Bordering the lovely comunes of Garda to the north and Lazise to the south, Bardolino shares one of the most picturesque stretches of lakeshore, known as the Olive Riviera. Their enormous popularity among Italians and foreign visitors alike, especially in the summer months, puts Bardolino's campsites and resorts at the forefront in terms of variety of accommodation and amenities.

Bardolino: beaches, wine and monuments.

Those who choose a holiday in Bardolino's campsites and tourist villages can alternate between spending their days onsite, where there is usually no shortage of entertainment and swimming pools, and visiting the area's beach resorts. Furnished or free, some with evening entertainment in the form of aperitifs and night clubs, Bardolino's main beaches are: Punta Cornicello, Lido Mirabello on the lakeshore at Cipriani, Lido di Cisano and, perfect for young people looking for fun, Lido Holiday Beach. Visitors who prefer days on the beach can try out water sports, from sailing to windsurfing, while food and wine enthusiasts can explore the hinterland and sample typical dishes and wines, such as the previously mentioned Bardolino, as well as the local olive oil.

Another of Bardolino's attractions is its monuments, which include magnificent examples of civic, religious and military architecture. Indeed, a tour to discover the area and its marvels cannot be without visits to churches like San Zeno and San Severo, and Veneto villas such as the distinctive Villa Bottagisio or Villa Guerrieri. Bardolino's city walls remain visible, if less so than in the past. Lastly, Bardolino's charms are enhanced by the venues devoted to the enjoyment of young and old alike.
