Peschiera del Garda: information and advice

The comune of Peschiera del Garda is located in Verona province in the southern part of Lake Garda, on the border between Veneto and Lombardy. One of Garda Veneto's most important destinations in terms of size and amenities, Peschiera del Garda offers numerous campsites and tourist villages, which are occupied every year by visitors from all over Europe, facilitated by excellent road and railway links. And talking about transport, from the port at Peschiera del Garda, you can catch a ferry to all the main locations on the shores of Lake Garda. Right next to the lake, in an area with a wonderful climate and just 25 kilometres from the provincial capital Verona, Peschiera is also at the mouth of the Mincio river, which flows into Lake Garda.

Campsites and beaches

Peschiera del Garda's campsites are predominantly situated right next to the lake or in the immediate vicinity. These are well-equipped campsites and villages, often offering various types of accommodation and swimming pools, and with easy access to Peschiera's main beaches: Lido Cappuccini, Lido Bergamini, Lido Fornaci and Lido Pioppi, in addition to the beaches on the banks of the Mincio, are the most popular. In recent years, moreover, special beaches have been opened for dogs, in response to growing demand from tourists who bring their four-legged friends on holiday with them.
